Incentives & assistance
The State Government provides funds for the training of eligible trainees and apprentices. New employees and existing worker apprentices are generally eligible for funded training through the Government Funded Training Program (the Apprenticeship Traineeship Training Program).
The State Government also provides:
- a Completion Bonus for employers
- an Apprentice Trade Bonus for apprentices
- an accommodation allowance for some apprentices
- some exemptions for employers from WorkCover premiums.
