Nominations for all categories of the 2008 Victorian Training Awards have now closed.

The judging process will be completed by the end of July and feedback will only be provided to finalists upon request.

About the Victorian Training Awards

The Victorian Training Awards is an annual event that showcases and rewards excellence in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. Attended by 1000 guests each year, this prestigious event provides a beneficial interface where industry and the VET sector celebrate outstanding achievements by individuals and organisations.

The Awards recognise the important contribution made by apprentices, trainees, students, teachers, employers, training providers and industry in building a world-class VET system in Victoria. Thirteen awards are presented each year, delivering a pathway of achievement that spans across the VET system and industry.

Applications Seminar: Thursday 17 April 2008

Nominations closed: Monday 12 May 2008
Judging commences: Monday 19 May 2008
Finalists notified: From Monday 23 June 2008
Judging completed: Friday 25 July 2008
Presentation dinner: Thursday 21 August 2008

Presentation Dinner

Finalists are invited and required to attend the Victorian Training Awards Presentation Dinner where the winners for each category are announced. Around 1000 people attend this gala event, which is hosted by the Minister for Skills and Workforce Participation, Jacinta Allan, MP.

The 2008 Victorian Training Awards Presentation Dinner will be held at Atlantic Group’s Peninsula Room on Thursday 21 August 2008.

Australian Training Awards

All winners of the Victorian Training Awards, except for the Victorian VET Client Service/Support Excellence Awards and the Victorian Teacher/Trainer of the Year Award, may represent Victoria at the Australian Training Awards which will be presented in Darwin on 20 November 2008.
